Communications Coordinator

 

Job Summary

The position of Communications Coordinator/ACYOA Coordinator is responsible for working on various projects which will bring great benefits to Saints Sahag and Mesrob Church. The communications Coordinator will work hand in hand with the Priest and office manager.

 

Primary responsibilities
 

  • Mailings

  • Coordinating and ensuring communications among organizations 

  • Liaise with Organizations. 

  • Spearhead outreach and engagement and the use of Breeze resources

  • Exploit the usage of Breeze by populating and inputting the various data to provide for a more robust use

  • Ensure articles and publications for Paros, Newsletters and emails are completed in a timely manner

  • Ensure organizations comply with the submission of documentation with flyers, activities, and special assemblies

  • Oversee compilation, preparation, and administration of the newsletter (Paros) including mailing

  • Create and coordinate church communications and marketing

  • Encourage and teach parishioners to use our stewardship resources

  • Enhancing the percentage of parishioners being engaged through social media and communications and encouraging timely stewardship 

  • Outreaching to parishioners with a focus on younger families to help them fulfill their giving and stewardship (both monetarily and morally) to the church.

  • Conduct administration of special outreach projects such as creating and disbursing information via social media and marketing through Mailchimp and Breeze. 

  • Oversee, organize, schedule, and direct ACYOA activities around the Circles of the Cross with the Pastor   

  • The church reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.       

                     

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with communications and social media

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills

  • Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Knowledge and command of evolving social media platforms

  • Ability to prioritize complex and at times competing goals

  • Initiative and judgment to independently problem solve

  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities

 

Worker Type: Employee

Time type: Part-time (8-10hrs)

Shifts: Mostly Daytime

Workplace: Office

Compensation: $15 hr.
